Every year, CIDER International School organizes the spelling bee competition to instill a love for language, enhance vocabulary skills, and promote healthy competition among students. Continuing this cherished tradition, the Spell Bee Competition for the academic year 2023-24 took place on February 8, 2024, at the LMR Hall within the school premises. The event commenced with a welcoming address by the school’s vice principal, Ms. Neeti Tripathi, who encouraged participants to embrace the spirit of healthy competition and strive for excellence.

This year, students from grades VI and VII participated in the competition. Before delving into the competitive rounds, the rules were thoroughly explained to the students. As participants took to the stage, the atmosphere became electrifying, with each student showcasing their linguistic prowess in a series of challenging rounds. The audience was captivated, feeling the tension rise with each word spelled, while the participants themselves relished the competitive spirit of the event.

After the completion of all four rounds, the winners were announced. Farhin Khaled secured the 1st position from grade VI, with Muhammad Tazbid Farzan and Md. Talha Hasan securing the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In grade VII, Showvik Sharma claimed the 1st position, Tahseen Hossain secured the 2nd position, and Muntaha Noman obtained the 3rd position.

Among the dignitaries present were the Section Coordinator of Cambridge Senior, Mr. Pranesh Ranjan Das, the Head of the English Department, Mr. Mokarrom Hossain, the activity coordinator, Mr. Biplob Mallick, and the grade level coordinators. They congratulated all the participants for their hard work and determination.

Overall, the competition provided a memorable and inspiring experience for everyone involved, fostering a love for language and celebrating the students’ achievements in vocabulary mastery.
