The election for the Students’ Council was held at NC Primary in CIDER International School on 31st January,2024. The objective of appointing the Student’s Council is to provide a platform to the students to develop leadership qualities by organising and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Students’ Council is the voice of the student body.
Candidates who had filed nominations were asked to givea one-minute speech with symbols and PPT in the assembly hall to present their case on why they should be elected for the posts they had stood for. This was followed by the students voting. A total of 12 students filed nominations for the posts of Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Boy, Sports Girl, House Captains and Vice Captains. The student participants visited all the classrooms and halls to request other students to vote in their favor. The contestants were allowed to explain the purpose of their candidature. In this process, a lot of hectic activities and events were carried out on our school campus, NC Block. Students and associated members conducted rallies and delivered speeches and raised slogans to influence the audience.
The Apex committee headed by the Executive Director G.C Tripathi & Vice-Principal Neeti Tripathi selected the candidates on the virtue of their merit and as per the requirement of the selection criteria. All the Coordinators, teachers and students placed their votes following the election criteria. The voting procedure was completely digital. The Apex body also considered students’ voting. The results were announced on 1st February, 2024.
