“Leadership is not about the next election, it’s about the next generation.”

Cambridge Primary Students Council Election was held on 1 August 2023 in the Lion Mokhlesur Rahman Hall. Twelve students of Grade 5 were the candidates. They ran for the positions of Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captains, House Captains, and Vice-Captains.

Teachers and the students from Grades 2- 5 cast their vote. The candidates employed various campaign strategies to gain support from their peers. These strategies included creating campaign posters and delivering speeches during assemblies and recess. The online election witnessed a significant voter turnout fairly and transparently.

The elected Badge Holders were commissioned with their badges and duties in the grand Investiture Ceremony on 21 August 2023 in the school auditorium. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Ms. Shakila Sultana, Deputy Police Commissioner, of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (Port Division). Principal Mr. G. C. Tripathi and Vice Principal Ms. Neeti Tripathi along with the Chief Guest honored the captains. Proud parents of the Badge Holders attended the ceremony. Academic Coordinator Mr. Alexious Serrao read out the citations with articulative and poetic notes. Afterward, the student council members took an oath to fulfill their duties with sincerity and dedication. The oath was administered by the Principal.

Overall, the Election and the Investiture Ceremony were a grand success, instilling a sense of responsibility and leadership among the student council members. They provided a platform for the students to showcase their potential and commitment to serving the school community.
