CIDER has been striving to bring about excellence in all spheres of students’ lives. As part of this , the ‘Spell Bee Competition’ for the session 2019-’20 was hosted by the dept. of English language of Cambridge Senior Section. It was held on 4 August, ’19 at the L.M.R hall .
The hall room was packed to capacity as students participated enthusiastically. The programme was divided into three segments, namely, the Missing Letter Round, the Scrambled Letter Round, and the Verbal Round. Students of classes VI to VIII participated in the competition. Every round was subject to disqualification on the basis of time taken and mistakes made. Initially, the students of six sections from classes VI to VIII locked horns to be in the final round. It was indeed a highly competitive one.
The programme was graced by the Vice-Principal of Junior School Mrs. Neeti Tripathi and was anchored Mr. Suman Chakraborty , Head, dept. of English Language, C.S. and Mr. Biplob Mallick, Activity Co-ordinator and Assistant Co-ordinator of class VI.
The programme was rounded off with a photo session . The following spellers were judged as the best among the participants.
