The science of today is the technology of tomorrow.
Science Olympiad provides a platform for the students to use their scientific knowledge and bring the best invention from their brains. It also allows students to work together and learn from each other. They share their ideas and collectively galvanize those ideas to bring something innovative into implementation.
The event was divided into three rounds. First round held on 1st October, second round held on 3rd October and final round held on 8th October, 2024 at CIDER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. Whole pre-primary section was decorated with a great festive look. From play group, the students sorted healthy and unhealthy foods on 1st round. On the day of 2nd round, the students categorized firm, wild and water animals. On final round, students sorted the five sense of organs by identifying different pictures. From Nursery, on the 1st round there were an activity based on living and non- living things. There were some pictures and they found out the living and non- living things within one minute.
On the 2nd round the topic was sink and float. There were some materials and a bowl of water. Student did the experiment and identified which material was sinking and which one was floating. On the finale there was an activity based on pollution. Teachers showed a video to each student and they identified the pollution name and then they described about that pollution in a brief. From KG, on first round students were asked to mix the given colours. They wrote the names of the colours they got in the paper. Students were judged based on accuracy of the spellings and time. On second round, they figured out the given pattern and completed the rest of the task. A situation was shown to the students via flashcard or projector according to the situation and they found out which community helper was needed and which vehicle the community helper had to use to reach the spot. 12 questions were asked, according to the number of answers the winners were selected.
At last, it can be said that students understood this event’s importance and enjoyed happily.
