Carnival means festival. Throughout the last couple of weeks, we, all the students of NCS prepared different projects, explored and gained knowledge in various areas of Science.

Science Carnival of the academic year 2023, organized by Science Department of NC Senior School took place on the 24th of September at the well-known LMR hall of CIDER International School.

Through this carnival, we got the opportunity to unleash our creativity and immaculately demonstrate our projects. The event was started off with a wonderful drama presented by the students. After the felicitation of the Chief Guests and the speech of our Principal Sir, the Carnival began with numerous praiseworthy projects which were presented by the students. Some mentionable projects among them are, Liter of Light, Anti Sleep Alarm, Soil Moisture and water level indicator for smart cultivation, Smart Shopping Cart and Billing System, Automatic Trash Collecting Boat, Sonar, Data Transfer Through Light, Gas Production from Water and Octane, Marine Oil Absorption, Dengue and its Affects, Biogas Plant, Smart house, Soil test, Newtons Cradle, Earthquake Alarm, Hydraulic Lift, Rain Water Detector, and Line Following Robot.

Right before the publication of results, some of our talented performers showcased a spectacular rap song performance. Our Honorable Chief Guest for Science Carnival was Dr. Saiful Islam Sir, Principal Scientific Officer, Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). Furthermore, our esteemed judges for the Carnival were Ms. Sangita, Sarbabidya, Physics Teacher, Cambridge Curriculum, Senior Section, CIDER International School and Mr.  Mithun Shome, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Cambridge Curriculum, Senior Section, CIDER International School.

Indeed, there was a lot to learn through this event. We can’t thank the Science Department of our school enough for making this event an amazing one.
