Parents’ Orientation is a crucial component of the educational process, fostering a collaborative partnership between parents and educational institutions. This event is served as an opportunity for parents to gain insight into the school’s culture, policies, and academic expectations. This includes information on attendance, evaluation systems, discipline and communication channels.

Enclosing all these components, CIDER International school, National Curriculum, Senior Section organized Parents’ Orientation Session-2024 on 20th of January, Saturday, in school L.M.R. Hall which includes overview of new curriculum, teaching methodologies and learning strategies framed by the school.  The program was started with the valuable speech of the Executive Director and Principal of the school who focused on the importance of teaching-learning strategy of new curriculum. Then the Section Coordinator, GLCs, HODs, Class teachers & subject teachers were introduced with the parents. This personal connection fosters open communication channels and encourages parents to feel more comfortable reaching out when needed. Later on, the details subject-wise description of new curriculum was clarified to the parents by the section coordinator along with the team-mates of NCS.

On top of these, importance of participation in co-curricular activities is also expressed with the help of slide show. This provides the parents with an opportunity to encourage their children to explore interests beyond the classroom, promoting a holistic approach to education.

Parents’ orientation also encompassed the various communication channels available such as taking appointment from front desk, sending emails or verbally over phone. The last and most important part of the program was the question-answer segment where some parents enquired about the board examination procedure of the learners of new curriculum. Section Coordinators answered all their quarries and successfully the program was ended.
