The sporting arena of CIDER International School was ablaze with talent and fervor as teams from various schools converged for an exhilarating tournament. With inaugural speech from the Principal, Mr. GC Tripathi the tournament kicked off on the 15th of February. The event showcased not only remarkable athleticism but also camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participating teams.
In the boys’ category, six formidable teams battled it out for the championship title. Boys Teams included:
- CIDER International school CC
- CIDER International school NC
- Sunshine grammar school
- Chittagong Grammar School
- Presidency International School
- Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School
The competition was fierce, with each team displaying commendable skills and determination. However, emerging victorious was Sunshine Grammar School, whose unwavering performance led them to clinch the coveted champion’s trophy. Trevon Valentine’s outstanding contributions to the game earned him the prestigious title of “Player of the Tournament”.
The runners-up position was secured by CIDER International School CC, whose players exhibited exceptional prowess on the field. Despite falling short of the championship, their spirit was truly admirable, making them formidable contenders throughout the tournament.
Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School earned the title of the “Fair Team” in the boys’ division, highlighting their dedication to fair play and sportsmanship.
In the girls’ division, the competition was equally fierce, with three formidable teams vying for the championship title. Girls Teams included:

- Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School
- Chattogram Cantonment Public College
The final was fought by Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School and Chattogram Cantonment Public College. Eventually, Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School emerged triumphant, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the tournament.
Chattogram Cantonment Public College displayed commendable performance, securing the runner-up position. Their determination was evident in every match, making them worthy contenders for the title.
A standout player in the girls’ category was Sharmila Hoque, whose exceptional talent and contributions to her team earned her the title of “Player of the Tournament”.
CIDER International School CC was recognized as the “Fair Team” in the girls’ division, underscoring their commitment to fair play and sportsmanship.
On the day of final matches held on February 17th, Mr. MD. Muslim, Additional DIG of Anti-Terrorism Unit, Chittagong Division, graced the occasion with his presence. His inspiring speech resonated deeply with the young basketball prodigies.
