With the spread of literacy, library has become an essential tool for learning. Today education is no longer a system of ‘cramming and filling’ students’ minds with information but rather it is a process of self discovery encouraging them to learn on their own.It is said ‘What is taught is not caught but what is read remains’.  In this context school libraries have come to play a significant role in the present day educational system. They are an integral part of the modern school setup.

CIDER International School has an excellent and well set-up library. It consists a large hall filled with shelves, book-stands, magazine stands and furniture.More than hundred users can use it at the same time. We have a huge collection of reading materials. We have different sections such as history, environment, literature, religion, liberation war and so on. The room is fully air conditioned. So students’ can read calmly. We have a relaxation corner where user can find complete peace of reading.CIDER library has Wi-Fi facilities,so students’ as well as users can do their project as well as research work.  We have a projector in our library. It helps students’ to present their presentation. Delegates’ from different countries come to our library to conduct seminars.

 

CIDER library is divided into two sections. One is junior section and another is senior section. Students’ of all classes visit the library as per schedule. Our library is fully auto mated. CIDER International School library serves as ‘learner-oriented laboratories which support, extend and individualize the school’s curriculum.With the help of all the multi-media support we can proudly say that our library is full high-tech library where books are available in all the forms be it real or digital , and we truly hop that our students will get benefited with this in every sphere of their lives.
