Keeping the rich tradition of empowering its students with the means to become successful future leaders, a New Prefectorial body was formed and the 2nd Investiture Ceremony of CIDER International School was held on Saturday, 26th of August at Radisson Blu Chittagong. Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of University of Chittagong as Chief Guest; Mr. Kabiruddin Bhuiyan, Ex- Governor of Lion’s Club International, District- 31534 as Guest of Honour; Mr. Ali Ahmed, MD, Astech Ltd. as Special Guest; Mr. Nader Khan, Chairman and Prof. Dr. Rabiul Hossain, Founder Chairman, CIDER International School graced the occasion.
CIDER has been always inspired by the vision that every child that comes to this temple of learning must be person filled with knowledge, respecting the rules and regulations of this education portal and love for the nation. Therefore, nurturing them and fostering in them a sense of self-respect and self-discipline are extremely pertinent. The Investiture ceremony 2017 was the formal ceremony of conferring the authority and responsibility to the new prefect body of leaders and on 26th of August, the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership.
The solemn ceremony was held with lots of enthusiasm and gusto. The distinguished guests were felicitated with flowers and shawls. Our Principal, Mr. Gyanesh Chandra Tripathi welcomed the presence with his Welcome Speech.
During the ceremony, the gracious moment for the gathering was to witness all prefects to be honoured with sashes, badges and bouquet of flowers. The Chief Guest, all distinguished guests and the respective parents felicitated the prefects.
Hearts swelled with pride at the historic oath taking ceremony! Oath of office was administered to them which were reiterated by the prefects with pride and sense of achievement surging their hearts and Honourable Chairman, Mr. Nader Khan, took the solemn responsibility. The emerging leaders pledged to maintain discipline and uphold the name of the institution in high esteem. The ecstasy on their face reflected the elation on the smiling face of the successful leaders of a nation.
The Chief Guest, and other respected guests congratulated all Prefects, stressed on the need to become more focused in their goals and encouraged them to be committed to important issues and to discharge their duties and responsibilities with confidence.
The Investiture ceremony 2017 was followed by a dinner party. The dignified event concluded with lots of hopes and aspirations for the future leaders and the ceremony was definitely one of the most significant events for CIDER and also a defining moment in student leader lives too.
