Department of economics and Bangladesh studies organized Intra-School Economics Olympiad 2022. There were three groups – Group A (Grade 6 & 7), Group B (grade 8 & 9) and Group C ( grade 10,11 &12). This year highest number of students participated in this Olympiad . Group A – 65, group B-25, group C-17. The preliminary round of Economics Olympiad was held on 26th& 27th October 2022. There was only one round for group A. 6 students were awarded from group A. Total twelve contestant participated in the final round which was held on 1st November 2022 at LMR hall,
‘Addressing on the impact of fuel price changing and its socio-economic impact in Bangladesh’ for group Band‘Addressing the social and economic concerns of the growing conflict between Russia and Ukraine’ for group C.
The judges were 1. Mr. Md. LuthfarRahman, Grade 8 Coordinator, 2. Mr.BiplobMollick, Grade 7 corordinator and 3. Ms.RehenaParvin Tisa, Cambridge Business teacher. The presentation was very informative.
Finally, 3 students from group B and C were awarded. The final round programme was inaugurated by Principal G.C. Tripathi and section coordinator Mr. Md. Ibrahim Chowdhury, Asst Section CoordunatorMr.PraneshRanjan Das, all coordinators, Coach of Basketball and all the teachers of the department of Economics and Bangladesh studies were present there.The awarded students are-
