The Bangla Department of CIDER International School has organized an Inter School Bangla Debate Competition on 14 October, 2017. 6 teams from various schools including Chittagong Cantonment Public College, Bangladesh Elementary School, International Turkish Hope School, Ispahani Public School & College, and CIDER International School CC & NC.
Mr. Osman Gani Mansur, Editor & Publisher, Daliy People’s View, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Shakhawat Hossain Maznu, Researcher and Senior Columnist, Dainik Azadi; Mr. Nazimuddin Shyamal, Bureau Chief & Special Correspondent, The Asian Age & Chittagong Correspondent Reuters; Dr. Md. Mashud Rana, Phil, PhD Chittagong Medical College adorned the Adjudicator Panel.
The young prodigies debated on the motion of “English medium schools are failing to keep the Bengali Culture alive”. Bangladesh Elementary School won the championship for their overall performance. The award winners for the motion are Radhika Chowdhury, Bangladesh Elementary School, 1st position; Fouzia Fatema, CIDER International School NC, 2nd position and Safwat Ahnaf Aziz, Cider International School CC, 3rd position. On the other hand, the award winners against the motion are Satyajit Dey Sagar, Ispahani Public School & College, 1st position; Adrita Muhuri,, Chittagong Cantonment Public College, 2nd position and Montaha Rahman, Bangladesh Elementary School, 3rd position. Radhika Chowdhury, Bangladesh Elementary School was the best speaker of the day.
