On 23rd January 2025, NC and CC Junior School hosted a heartwarming Grandparents’ Day celebration, bringing together students from Play to Grade 1 and their beloved grandparents. The event aimed to honor the unconditional love, wisdom, and guidance that grandparents bring into our lives.
A Warm Welcome
The celebration commenced with a heartfelt welcome by the Principal of Junior School, Ms. Neeti Tripathi, accompanied by the academic coordinators, Mr. Alexious Serrao from CC & Ms. Amrin Husain from NC. Their speeches expressed profound gratitude to the grandparents for their invaluable role in nurturing the younger generation and their unwavering support.
Cultural Programme
The school auditorium buzzed with excitement as the cultural programme unfolded. Play to Grade 1 students from NC and CC showcased their talents through captivating performances. The highlights of the programme included:
- Dance Performances: Energetic and joyful dances dedicated to grandparents.
- Fashion Show: A charming display where students dressed up creatively to express their love.
- Poetry Recitals: Heartfelt poems written and recited by the children to convey their admiration and gratitude.
Some grandparents also took the stage to share their feelings, expressing heartfelt appreciation for the school’s thoughtful gesture in organizing the event.
Traditional Sports and Games
Following the cultural performances, grandparents and students moved to the school field to participate in a series of traditional sports and games. The activities included:
