“Grandparents hold our hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.”
On 25th January, 2024, CIDER International School, NC Primary celebrated Grandparents and Traditional Sports Day in a festive mood. Grandparents began to arrive at sharp 9 a.m. and they were very excited to enjoy the day. Our honorable Principal Mr. G.C. Tripathi inaugurated the event with his humble speech. After that the main event began. The programme was divided into three parts. The first part was the cultural function. At first, the little kids of CC pre- primary did a tremendous dance performance with their grandparents. Then NC pre- primary performed a song dedicated to their grandparents. The students from grade one CC showed a great fashion show. Lastly the grade one NC Primary students performed a marvelous drama. The cultural function ended with a generous speech by our Vice Principal, Ms. Neeti Tripathi. Then all the students went to their classroom along with their grandparents for the classroom activities. Different activities were arranged inside the classroom like: drawing pictures, sharing memories and making cards. After a short tea break, the last part of the event started. It was the ‘Traditional Sports’ event. The sports were: flying kites, Open-the Bioscope, Fultokka, Rumalchuri etc.
They enjoyed the activities a lot. Overall, it was a well-organized and successful event.
