“Trust your feelings—they help you stay safe.”
As a strong step towards making our children safe, CIDER International School, conducted a session on the topic of, ‘Good Touch & Bad Touch’ on 12th March, 2025. The event took place in LMR Hall. The attendees were the students of Pre-primary classes from Play Group to Grade ONE. Teachers started the session by explaining general expressions of Good Touch like a hug or a handshake. Children were able to understand the difference between the Good Touch and the Bad Touch.
They were also told about the body parts which no one should touch and if in case somebody tries to touch them inappropriately, they should raise their voice and say ‘NO’. They were taught to inform about such happenings to their safe circle and never hide the same from their parents.
The demonstration conducted by the teachers, gave a clear picture about the safe circle and it was truly gratifying to see children drawing the pictures of their parents and siblings.
The session concluded with one to one discussion among students. In this open discussion children spoke about the knowledge they had received from the session and what preventive method they would adopt to avoid this issue. The motto of the session was to enlighten the children that their body belongs to them and they need to stay safe and secure.
“Better to speak up now than regret later.”
