Wisdom is giving children their wings, along with the rudder of awareness, to keep them safe from prying hands.

A session on “Good touch and bad touch” was conducted on March 14, 2024, at CIDER International School, NC Primary. The 40-minute session was specially dedicated to safeguarding and protecting our diligent students and giving them the warmth of wellbeing through a deliberately planned program on “Good touch and Bad touch”. The children in grades 1-5  learnt to identify the “no touch” areas and understood who are safe adults and whom to report when there is an alarming situation.

They also learnt to handle strangers and say ‘NO’ to unwanted touches by running away and shouting out loud. They were taught to inform the adults they trust about such happenings and immediately report if they were told to hide the same from their parents.

By fostering the habit of seeking consent during activities such as bathing or changing clothes, children learnt that their private parts were not to be touched without permission. Furthermore, they should be encouraged to voice their objections to any harmful or inappropriate behavior.

Lastly, the whole session was very helpful and knowledgeable for the children, as they were not very aware of what to do if they were to ever encounter any such mishaps.
