As a strong step towards making our children safe, Cambridge Primary conducted a session in the LMR Hall on the topic of, ‘Good Touch Bad Touch.’
The Pre- Primary session was conducted by Ms. Parveen Akter and Ms. Lucy Paul, to spread awareness and educate children about good and bad touch, at a time when child abuse and molestation exist as dark realities in society today.
The interactive workshop also highlighted the need for young children to report any abuse or fear to adults they feel safe with. The session included coloring activities, worksheets, and a drama to teach students about safe and unsafe touch.
The students understood the concept of safe/unsafe touch which was explained to them in a simplified manner by showcasing a drama played by the students of Grade I, named Nazid, Naziha, and Manha, followed by a question-answer round
At the end, a small video, music, and drama followed by a question-answer round were presented to the children showcasing different instances of related situations and how to tackle the same. Overall, it was a very interactive and interesting session where all the children gave their responses to many questions when asked. A token of gratitude was proposed to the lovely children who attentively engaged themselves in the entire session.
The session was interactive and engaging, with the teachers offering open doors for students to discuss any issues with them.
