‘Super Market’, ‘ Super Market’, little tiny tots of Play Group, chanting this slogan were proceeding excitedly towards the bus to be on their Field Trip on Thursday, November 17, 2016 along with their teachers.
Their destination was Khulshi Mart, the famous Super Store of Chittagong, located in the area of Khulshi. This trip was organized to give our tiny tots the flavor of practical learning of their monthly theme Vegetables. The children reached the super store and were welcomed whole heartedly by the manager and staff of the Super Store.
The young learners entered and directly were escorted to the fresh vegetable corner where they saw different types of vegetables being placed in trays to make it ready for sale. The students started naming the vegetables with great enthusiasm. How happy they were!!!
Then gradually they visited the areas of the store that consisted fish, meat, grocery, chocolates, snack items, ice cream, kitchen utensils, gift items, clothes etc. etc. etc. Such a big area which did not seem to finish!!! Our kids with keen interest inspected each and every corner to quench the thirst of curiosity of their little minds.
They were so disciplined that all the customers including few foreign nationals present at that time in the store appreciated our students’ interest to learn, etiquette and their friendly ability to be familiar with any surrounding. Finally, it was time to return back to school.
The manager and staff bade farewell to their little friends and requested them to visit again. The kids had light snacks, juice and returned back to school.
