Grade 3 students at CIDER International School Cambridge Curriculum recently enjoyed an exciting session about sports and recreation. The students had the chance to ask questions to a special guest, Ms. Maria Chakrabarty, who is the Chief Guest and the Physical Education Associate Director at Asian University.
This session was part of their Global Perspectives course, where the students learned how sports can help improve both physical and mental health. They discovered that being active not only makes our bodies stronger but also helps reduce stress and improve our mood.
The event was supported by Junior School Principal Ms. Neeti Tripathi and Academic Coordinator Mr. Alexious Serrao, along with Global Perspectives teachers Ms. Shawly Ghosh and Ms. Aucky Rani Mallick and Junior school sports teachers Mr Sajib Das and Ms. Susmita Dey Lima. The guest speaker shared interesting stories and tips about different sports, encouraging students to find activities they enjoy.
The students left the session feeling inspired and excited about the benefits of staying active. This initiative shows how CIDER International School is dedicated to helping students learn important life skills while addressing global health challenges.
