The Adventurous Journey section encourages a sense of adventure and discovery whilst undertaking a team journey or expedition. The aim of this section is to provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the wider environment, as well as to develop their self –confidence, team work and health. Participants are taken out of their comfort zone in an unfamiliar environment but kept within a safe and secure setting, achieved through suitable training and supervision.

On 25th February 2017 at 8:30 am, we started our journey from school campus by Hanif Enterprise & Relax Paribahan(Volvo-Ac bus). We had an interval in ‘Dula-Hazara Safari Park’ and there was a trekking for 1 hour from 10:30- 11:30 am. Students enjoyed break time at ‘Four season Restaurant’. They spent 30 minutes at the restaurant. Finally we reached at Hotel Cox-today Ltd at 2:00 pm. After hotel check-in and lunch, students started their activities. The trip was full of activities like beach cleaning, trekking, hiking, recreation and cultural activities. Students cleaned nearly 1 km of Cox`sbazar sea beach and collected 6 sacks of garbage. Students started second adventure towards Himchari & Inani Beach from hotel by local jeep (called Chander Gari) and the distance was 45 kms long. For hiking Ciderians climbed up the Himchori Mountain which was about 120 feet high from the sea level on 26th February morning. A friendly swimming competition as physical recreation was organized in Cox’s swimming pool between teachers and students on the same day. After had having lunch we went to Ramu rubber garden. Students had 2 kms of exciting trekking through Ramu Rubber garden and they acquired knowledge by an expert about rubber production & history of rubber garden in the rubber factory. After completing trekking at Ramu Rubber garden, we started our journey towards Cider and reached at Cider Campus safely at 9:15 pm on 26th February 2017.
Ciderians had abundance of fun and wonderful experience during this journey. Students learned a lot of things on this trip. Perhaps the most valuable was to discover that students were capable of so many things. There was unquenchable feeling of self-responsibility they had during the whole trip.
Overall ‘The Duke Trip’ was a great success. The Duke Bronze Adventurous Journey 2017 is one of the most memorable trips that we will be able to look back on and cherish forever. I advise all other students to take part on this award in future.
