On September 5, 2024, we embarked on our highly anticipated Duke Adventurous Trip to Foy’s Lake Base Camp. As we arrived, we were greeted with relaxing towels and refreshing drinks, setting the tone for an incredible adventure. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step,” and for us, this journey began with a group of 10 students from classes 8, 9, and 10.
Our days were filled with thrilling activities like Tree Top Adventure, the obstacle course, archery, and river crossing, each adding to our team spirit. We also enjoyed relaxing activities such as the water zipline, Giant Hammock, kayaking, air zipline, bridge crossing, and the Night Safari.
The evenings were marked by laughter, late-night chit-chats, a barbecue station, and indoor games. Our teachers—Ms. Munmun Nahar, Mr. Sattanjoy Banik, Mr. Rezaul Karim, and Mrs. Sonia Aktar—were incredibly supportive and enthusiastic throughout the trip. The highlight of the trip was Syed Iftekhar from class 10 receiving the Best Base Camper award.
As the trip came to a close, it was clear that the memories we created were unforgettable. Despite the excitement of the journey, none of us wanted to leave. The Duke Trip was special not only because of the place but because of the people and experiences that made it truly memorable.
