At CIDER CC Primary, we recently hosted a delightful DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) event for students in Grades 2 through 5. The initiative aimed to foster a love of reading and provide our young learners with a dedicated time to immerse themselves in their favourite books.
On this special day, students were encouraged to set aside their regular activities and engage in uninterrupted reading. Classrooms were filled with the sounds of eager readers flipping through pages and diving into the adventures and stories contained within their books. Teachers and staff joined in the fun, creating an atmosphere of collective enthusiasm for reading.
The DEAR event was met with great excitement and participation, as students eagerly shared their reading experiences and book recommendations with their peers. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore new worlds through literature and develop their reading skills in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
Overall, the DEAR event was a resounding success, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing a lifelong love of reading among our students. We look forward to more such enriching experiences that celebrate and promote the joy of reading at CIDER CC Primary.
