In celebration of Bangladesh’s vibrant literary heritage and to encourage the use and appreciation of the Bengali language among students, CIDER International School Cambridge Primary held a Bangla Poetry Recitation Competition on February 29, 2024. This event was open to students from Grades 2 through 5, providing them with a platform to showcase their linguistic skills and artistic talents. Poetry, often regarded as the epitome of beauty in language, allows individuals to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through the rhythm, rhyme, and imagery of words. Recognizing the inherent beauty of poetry and its power to captivate audiences, the competition aimed to foster a love for literature and language among the students.

By participating in the recitation competition, students had the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, confidence, and proficiency in Bangla poetry, thereby celebrating the richness of their cultural heritage.
