‘Bangla literacy week’ of CIDER international School organised by Bangla department of NC senior section has been held from 18th to 24th February. On 24th February, 2020 that is on the celebration day of Bangla literacy week’, Elizabeth Arifa Mobashshira, Ex. assistant professor of Bangla department, Mohila College, Chattogram graced the celebration as the chief guest. She is a great literary persona as well as a significant social worker. The programme of final celebration was inaugurated by our honourable Head of the Bangla Dept. (NCS) Ms. Papri Nandy.
Honourble Principal and Vice-Principal of CIDER International School were also present in the program. Though CIDER International School is an English medium school, it has always prioritised our mother language Bangla and Bangla literature in several aspects which may upgrade the academic progress.
One of the main objectives of Bangla literacy week celebration is to remove the fear of Bangla as a subject from the students. Winners among the students were given prizes for Bangla essay writing and Bangla handwriting competitions. Various wonderful aspects of Bangla language and literature were presented before students through songs, dramas, recitations and Power Point presentations. The program became more mesmerising with an inspiring speech of our esteemed chief guest. Eventually, the programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by our honourable Section Head Ms. Mukti Chowdhury.
