CIDER International School recently celebrated Bangla “Drop Everything and Read” (DEAR) Day for students in Grades 1 to 5. The event was focused on encouraging a love for reading and helping students develop their reading skills.
On DEAR Day, all students were asked to put aside their regular activities and spend time reading their favourite bangla storybooks. The classrooms were filled with eager readers as students picked books that interested them. The atmosphere was calm and focused, with everyone enjoying their reading time.
After reading, each student wrote a short reflection about the story they read. This activity helped them think about what they had learned and how the story made them feel. It was a great way for students to practice their writing skills while also deepening their understanding of the books they enjoyed.
