FROM THE CHAIRPERSON’S DESK
I still remember, the very concept of CIDER International School came from my best friend and a great visionary Lion Mukhlesur Rehman (I consider him as my teacher in business) when he suggested to me to cater to the needs of the young minds of Chittagong by opening an International school. He actually planted this seed in my mind of having an International school with a motto of serving society and not to make profits. Thoughts kept rolling and one day destiny took me to Dr. Rabiul Hossain’s eye hospital for my mother’s eye treatment. Seeing Dr. Hossain’s hard work for the people of Chittagong I was extremely impressed. This visit again inspired me for doing something different and one fine day when I was travelling to Dhaka with Dr. Hossain, CIDER’s discussion again came in and we decided to act upon. Lion Mukhlesur Rehman, Dr. Rabiul Hossain and I contributed money and CIDER’s dream started taking shape.
The seed of Lion Muklesur Rehman’s idea which was sown in 1997 has quickly come to fruition, and CIDER International School is growing into a strong sapling. My heart fills with immense delight as I perceive the progress being made at CIDER.
In an era that has come to become the epitome of competition, at CIDER, we are acutely conscious of our responsibilities and have been striving to provide quality education with values. Our overreaching emphasis has been on ‘Excellence with values’, which, in fact happens to be CIDER’s credo. We have ensured that our students can find complete self-expression in the Institution’s ambience. We are, thus, rendering every kind of help to them to make their dreams come true. We look forward to working with our parents as partners for our children’s education.
I hope each coming year will be a milestone that marks CIDER’s growth, unfolds our imagination, and gives life to our thoughts.
